The Borough of Parryville was presented with a $15,024.08 check from funds raised at the annual Carl Wolter golf tournament held May 24.

The funds raised will go to benefit the Parryville Playground project.Borough council members were very appreciative when presented with the check."Playground equipment is very expensive," said councilwoman Cathy Hawk.The total raised for the projected so far is an estimated $22,800.Many local businesses have donated money to the project including the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club.The largest donation came from the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, which donated $6,000.
