Nesquehoning Conservation Club held its seventh annual youth trout fishing derby last Saturday. Local youth from the Panther Valley and surrounding areas participated in the derby.
Numerous prizes were awarded for first fish, largest fish, first limit as well as door prizes for all. The event was heldin memory of Connell McCall. Trophywinners for largest fish caught include, from left, Hunter Kennedy in the age 13-15 category for his 16-inch troutand Emma Dacey, whose troutmeasured in at 19 1/2 inches. Notpictured are biggest overall trout winner Lauren Semko, who reeled in a 22-inch rainbow trout and in the 9-12 age group, Steven Cantner for his 15-inch catch.
