Carbon County Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted guilty pleas on Friday.
Gregory Cadugan Jr., 45, Jim Thorpe: Pleaded to possession of a controlled substance he was not prescribed and possession/use of drug paraphernalia filed by Jim Thorpe police on March 8, 2013. Matika sentenced him to a total of three years on probation and 150 hours of community service. He also ordered Cadugan to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Zachary Reichard, 26, Slatington: Pleaded to disorderly conduct and scattering rubbish, charges filed by East Penn Township on Aug. 27, 2014. Matika fined him $100 for disorderly conduct and $50 for scattering rubbish.Peter Foder, 58, Lehighton: Pleaded to a charge of harassment filed by Lehighton police on Oct. 4, 2014. Matika fined him $100.Joseph Spezialetti, 24, Lehighton: Pleaded to driving under the influence, filed by state police at Lehighton on Aug. 29, 2013. Matika deferred sentencing and ordered him to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Jeffrey Land, 43, Langhorne, Bucks County: Pleaded to driving under the influence and causing an accident involving damage, filed by Weatherly police on Dec. 3, 2014. On the DUI charge, Matika sentenced him to 72 hours to six months in jail, 25 hours of community service, and to pay a $1,000 fine. His license is suspended for 12 months, and he must complete the Alcohol Highway Safety School.On the charge of causing an accident involving damage, Land was sentenced to one year on probation., consecutive to the DUI sentence.Daniel C. Skibber, 40, Stroudsburg: Pleaded to retail theft, filed by Mahoning Township police on Dec. 18, 2013. Matika deferred sentencing.
