Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 12:34 a.m. on Aug. 5.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on that date they were conducting a roving DUI patrol when they observed a Chevrolet Blazer commit a turning violation at the intersection of SR115 and Long Pond Road. Police made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Victor Rosado, 39, of Long Pond.At the stop police detected the odor of alcohol coming from Rosado. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for suspected DUI. He submitted to a blood test.Police said the blood test revealed a .18BAC. Charges were filed against Rosado with District Judge Richard Claypool, of Pocono Pines, police said.
