A Monroe County man is awaiting a preliminary hearing following an incident that occurred about 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 23.
Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to a suspicious person report, later changed to a burglary report, in the Natures Drive area of Tobyhanna. En route officers were told to go to 8259 Natures Drive.
A man, later identified as Joshua Creasing, 32, of the 8000 block of Natures Drive, was reported banging on doors for help before breaking into a home. After he caused substantial damage, Pocono Country Place security took him into custody until Pocono officers arrived.
Creasing was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono, East Stroudsburg, for a leg injury.
He was later charged with criminal trespass, a felony; criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors; and summary offenses of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He is currently an inmate in the county prison in Snydersville, on the charges.
