A LOOK BACK

JANUARY 16, 1974Blue Ridge Cable TV program director Paul Gimbel announced the premiere of an all news show at 7 o’clock on that closed circuit network. The new show, called “People,” will give everyone tuned in an opportunity to express thoughts and engage in conversation with members of a panel made up of seniors from area high schools, Gimbel said.The regular panel members include David Kunkle and Karen Williams of Slatington High School; Dennis Strohl and Sheryl Lentz of Palmerton High School; Ervin Hawk and Wendy Bausman of Lehighton High School; Gary Foley and Lynn Thomas of Jim Thorpe High School; and Karen Higgins of Panther Valley High School.
