November 20, 1999There were plenty of smiles all around at Leiby’s Restaurant, South Tamaqua, as the Schuylkill County United Way’s 1999 Tamaqua Campaign Appreciation Luncheon became a victory celebration.As in previous years, the Tamaqua campaign is over the top of its goal once again.Tamaqua Campaign Chairman Curtis J. Bailey announced the final pledge total for the Tamaqua Area is $75,044.34, surpassing the 1999 goal of $72,000 by 4 percent.The pledge amount also exceeded the 1998 campaign pledge amount of $71,424.24 and is part of the overall Schuylkill County United Way goal of $710,000.
