A Tamaqua man will serve up to a year behind bars on drug charges.

Francisco Aponte Jr.,25, was sentenced Feb. 17 by Schuylkill County Judge Cyrus P. Dolbin to six to 12 months in the county jail after pleading guilty to delivery of a controlled substance.Because Aponte had already been in jail for at least six months, he was granted immediate parole.Dolbin also ordered him to pay court costs and fees.Charges of possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of a controlled substance were dropped.Aponte was charged by Tamaqua police after an incident on Sept. 11, 2014.The sentence was concurrent to one imposed for the same drug charges, those stemming from a Sept. 4, 2014, incident. In that case, Aponte also pleaded guilty to delivery, with the other charges being dropped.Michael Crowell,57, of Lansford, admitted to theft by deception-false impression, and tampering with records.He was sentenced by Dolbin to six to 23 months in the county jail, and to pay court costs and fees. He was also ordered to pay $300 in restitution to Hope's Towing in Tamaqua.Crowell was charged by Tamaqua police with two counts of forgery, receiving stolen property, tampering with records, and possession/sale/use of display documents after an incident on July 28, 2014.All other charges were dropped.David Moran Jr.,49, of Ringtown, admitted to driving under the influence on March 10, 2015. A charge of failing to obey a stop sign was dropped.On the DUI charge, Dolbin sentenced him to 30 days in jail, followed by four years and 11 months of intermediate punishment with electronic surveillance.He'll serve 180 days of house arrest, followed by 30 days of SCRAM monitoring, followed by seven months of strict supervision, followed by four years of probation. Dolbin also ordered Moran pay court costs and fees, fined him $1,500, and ordered him to complete DUI school, outpatient treatment, have an ignition lock installed on his car for 12 months, and surrender his license for 18 months.Dolbin also fined him $1,000 for driving under the influence with a suspended license,Moran was charged by Mahanoy City police.Anthony Kehl,45, of Tamaqua, admitted to theft from a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. He was charged by Tamaqua police on March 8, 2015.A charge of receiving stolen property was dropped.Dolbin sentenced Kehl to four to 12 months in jail, and to pay court costs and fees.Michael Martin,37, of Millersburg, admitted to manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; criminal use of a communication facility; possession of an instrument of crime with intent.Three additional counts of manufacture, repairing or selling an offensive weapon, and six other drug charges were dropped.Dolbin sentenced Martin to six to 24 months in jail, beginning March 15; and to pay court costs and fees.He was charged by Mahanoy City police after an incident on April 30, 2015.Tara Palermo-Natt,40, of Hazleton, admitted to access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. Charges of criminal conspiracy and forgery were dropped.President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced her to time served to 12 months in jail. She was immediately released on parole.Baldwin also ordered her to pay court costs and fees.Palermo-Natt was charged by Kline Township police after an incident on Jan. 17, 2014.
