April is National Library Month, so check out some of the events, activities and clubs at the Palmerton Area Public Library.

Got art? The Annual Photography Show will be held from 1-3

p.m.April 17. Photographers who are interested in submitting their work should contact the library at 610-826-3424. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.The group Seasons will be featured in a spring concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 in the upstairs gallery at the library. The group consists of five siblings who create a fusion of Celtic and roots music on harp, hammered dulcimer, mandolin and fiddle. Their original music has been featured on national radio and television, including the show "Life on the Rock." This show is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.Also check out:• April is "Food for Fines" month at the library. Donate one nonperishable food item in place of each $1 fine owed. Eliminate all fines and feed the hungry at the same time. All donated food items will be given to the CACPAC food pantry in Palmerton.• During April, the library will sponsor a bag sale in the library basement. Fill a bag (provided by the library) with any items from the basement book sale and pay only $2. Sale runs April 1 through 30. More than 2,000 books, puzzles and movies are available.• Beginning in April, Coloring For Adults will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the conference room. This club is free and open to all adults 18 years of age or older. Invite a friend and relax and color. Supplies are available or bring them. Bring your own snacks and drinks.• Chair yoga will be offered at the library for four weeks at 10:30 a.m. beginning April 13. This is a gentle form of yoga practiced sitting on or standing next to a chair. Call 484-547-9150 to register. Regular yoga classes are still offered at 9 a.m. Saturdays.• The Blue Mountain Fiber Guild is a brand-new group at the library. They will meet at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month to explore all things related to the fiber arts including spinning, weaving and more.• The Sew What Quilt Guild meets at 7 p.m. at the library on the second Thursday of each month. New members are always welcome.• The Knitting Club meets from 6-8 p.m. on the first Monday of each month. This club is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels.• The Third Monday Book Club meets from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Monday to discuss a different book each month. New members are always welcome. On April 18, the book will be poetry by Paul Martin, who will be at the library to discuss his poetry.• New computer classes will be starting. Sign up now, because class size is limited. Classes offered are: Intro to Computers, Microsoft Office Excel/Word, Social Media & Mobile Devices, and The World of Google.Visit
