A driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 9:30 p.m. on July 7 officers responded to a crash along Sawmill Road in Wagner Forest. On scene officers found a Dodge pickup truck off the road and into a tree with no driver in the area.A short time later Richard Abbazio, 27, of Pocono Lake, arrived on scene. He rented the vehicle and said someone must have stolen it.An investigation revealed that Abbazio was driving the vehicle. At an interview on Monday, Aug. 27, at police headquarters, Abbazio admitted being the driver of the vehicle.He was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities and false reports to law enforcement.
