Zoostock returns to Lansford

Zoostock is back at its home base.

On Labor Day, Sept. 7, the 21st annual Zoostock will be held at the Halftime Bar and Grill at the Zoo in Lansford from noon to 8 p.m.

The first 20 years of Zoostock were held here, with the last one being in 2018. It had always been held on Labor Day.

It is one of the largest annual fundraisers for the American Cancer Society. In those 20 years, it raised a cumulative total of $341,000 for the ACS. Proceeds totaled $22,500 in 2018.

In 2019, after the Sports Zoo was closed and put up for sale, the event was moved to the Lehighton Outdoors Center and renamed LOCstock.

The new owners of the establishment, Kevin and Deanna Zuercher, said they are thrilled to have the event here again.

They said eight bands are booked to present a free concert throughout the event.

Those bands are: Adrenalyn; Sterling Koch & The Freeway Jam; Living the Dream; The Local Boys; Magic Stew; Jesse Wade Gang; Nick Tauer Band; and Rude Groove.

Admission is free and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
