Lehighton Area School District’s board of directors took the following action on Monday:

• Accepted the donation to the general fund of $1,000 from the United Way for the Girls Club

• Approved the contract with Therapy Bridges LLC to deliver special education related services and evaluations.

• Approved the agreement for participation in child programs between school districts, area vo-techs and intermediate units.

• Accepted the intent to retire for Blaine Klotz, utility custodian.

• Accepted the resignation of Patricia Ebbert, elementary teacher; Patricia Denicola, business administrator; Terrence Frantz, part-time cleaner; and Valance Fedor, lunch aide.

• Approved the high school, middle school, elementary center and Pre-K counts handbooks for the 2020-21 school year.

• Adopted policy updates dealing with student wellness, weapons, use of district-owned vehicles and school security personnel.

• Approved the revised guidelines for resocialization into sports as presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network and Coordinated Health.
