Road work this week
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:
Lehigh County
• Upper Macungie Township, Route 22 shoulder work/widening between I-78 and Kuhnsville Exit, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday.
Monroe County
• Pocono Township, I-80 West bridge repair between Exit 299 (Route 715) and Exit 293 (JCT I-380), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• I-80 Ramp at Exit 302 (Route 209 to Route 33) surveying and lane restriction on ramp for core work, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday.
• Hamilton Township. Greenview Drive pothole patching on Route 209, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Again Sunday through Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Northampton County
• Lehigh Township, Walnut Drive shoulder work/widening between Main Street and Elm Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Lower Saucon Township, I-78 East surveying between Exit 67 (Route 412) and Exit 71 (Route 33), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through July 27.
Schuylkill County
• Tamaqua, Route 309 inspection between Route 209 and Tuscarora Park Road, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
• Mahanoy Township, Route 54 East inspection between Gilberton Road and Route 339, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
• Various townships, I-81 roadway reflector installation between Exit 112 (Route 25) and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road), 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Beginning on Wednesday and ending on Aug. 14.
• Frailey Township, Route 209 paving between I-81 and Joliett Street, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday.
