Two full-time and two part-time positions were filled during Thursday's weekly meeting of the Carbon County Board of Commissioners.
The county hired Renee A. Schoch as an Aging Care Manager II in the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging, effective June 20, and Sarah E. Brooks as a clerk in the Tax Claim Bureau, effective June 13. Both are from Lehighton.The two part-time positions are lifeguards for the summer season at the Mauch Chunk Lake Park operated by the county. They are Zachary G. Gilbert, Lansford, and Alyssa M. Schultz, Summit Hill, both effective June 11.The commissioners accepted three resignations, as follows: Joyce A. Connell, Nesquehoning, temporary clerk, Archives, effective June 7; Kyle J. Lawrence, Jim Thorpe, part-time licensing clerk, Treasurer's Office, effective May 3; and Leonard J. Ogozalek, Summit Hill, summer laborer, Liquid Fuels, effective June 10.Seminar/training requests were approved:Area Agency on Aging: Susan Zeigler and Mary Ann Marzen, Care Transitions 101 Webinar, Palmerton; Gayle Gersbach, LCD Assessor Training Course Webinar, Palmerton; and Michael Cutler, Harmony Tutorials for Sams.net & Sams Modules from the OLTL Webinar, Palmerton.Corrections: James Romankow and Lori Ahner, Lehigh County Training Academy, Allentown.Planning & Development: David J.
