Charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol are pending against Lisa Depriest, 47, of Palmerton, after state police at Lehighton stopped her at 3 a.m. Nov. 25 on Apple Street in Bowmanstown.

Police said they observed the woman driving in an erratic manner, after which time she was taken into custody for displaying signs of impairment and failing field sobriety tests.She was transported to the Palmerton Hospital where she submitted to a blood test, the results of which are pending.
