William Simmons Jr., Lehighton, was awarded a contract to furnish 150 tons of buckwheat coal to the Jim Thorpe Area School District.

Simmons will deliver 40 tons of coal to the Bevan School for $11.25 a ton and 110 tons of coal to the senior high school for $11.60 a ton. The coal will be purchased from the Lehigh Coal Sales Co.In other board action, dental examiners appointed for the 1957-58 school year were Dr. Harold Frendt and Dr. Roy Mosser, both of Jim Thorpe. Dr. Frendt was assigned to the Asa Packer and junior high schools and Dr. Mosser will examine pupils of the Bevan and senior high schools.
