St. John

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will present the sermon on Sunday via Zoom at 10:30 a.m.

There will be a church council meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. You must wear a mask to attend the meeting.

Primitive Methodist

American Primitive Methodist Church, 55 Hunter St., Tamaqua will be reopening our food pantry this month with a few changes.

Every second Wednesday of the month from 3-5:30 p.m. we will be giving out perishable items like fruits, veggies, dairy products and possibly some frozen items.

On the third Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m.-noon and 4-5:30 p.m. we will distribute dry goods, frozen products and other donations that are received.

Our first church service will be held on Father’s Day, June 21, and all attendees are required to bring their own mask. Hand sanitizer will be available and general building sanitizing will take place after every service. Our summer service will start at 10 a.m. and there will be no Sunday school during the summer.

Bethany EC

We will reopen with the following services:

Traditional worship 8 a.m., contemporary worship 9:30 and 11 a.m.

We have conservatively estimated our 50 percent to be a maximum of 75 people per service, while keeping well within the recommended guidelines.

Therefore, we are asking you to please contact Pastor Kevin by email or Facebook messenger if you are planning to attend a service and your anticipated head count. Email: pastor@bethanyec.org. Facebook messenger: Bethany EC Church.

You will need to let us know your intentions weekly at least until we get a handle on how attendance will flow.

We must comply with the recommended guidelines for churches and create a safe environment for those who are ready to return. We will continue with Facebook Live worship services for those who are not ready to return.

The following standards will need to be followed in order to provide a safe environment for all:

If you are ill or have symptoms of being ill, please stay home and attend the online service.

If your child/children or anyone in your household are ill or have symptoms of being ill, please stay home and attend the online service.

Contact surfaces will be sanitized between services.

Because of social distancing requirements there are no Sunday Life Groups and there is no nursery care or JAM (children’s church).

Please feel free to bring your child’s tablet and headphones or other materials.

Calvary Lewistown

We are opening for worship beginning Sunday, June 7 at 10:25 a.m. We are starting our summer schedule early, therefore services will be held at Lewistown Valley Tabernacle.
