Lansford shooting details released

Authorities have confirmed more details about the three people who were found dead at a home in Lansford on Tuesday.

Lansford Police confirmed that they are Marc Lerario, Ashley Belson and their daughter Ava Lerario.

They each died from gunshot wounds, according to the Carbon County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner Robert Miller said the deaths of Belson and Ava Lerario have been ruled as homicide, while Marc Lerario’s death is still under investigation.

The couple and their daughter were pronounced Tuesday afternoon at 3:10 p.m., shortly after police were called to their home on East Patterson Street.

Lansford Police have said it was an isolated situation with no threat to the public.

A woman who identified herself as Marc Lerario’s cousin created an online fundraiser to assist the family with funeral expenses.

She said her cousin suffered from mental illness and had struggled due to the recent death of a relative.

Ava Lerario was a student at Panther Valley Elementary.

The fundraiser said the couple are survived by two children, ages 17 and 8.
