The Slatington Women's Club announced the Girl of the Month for November and recent months.

Taylor Herman of Slatington is The Girl of the Month for September.She is the daughter Barry and Tami Herman. She has two brothers, Chance, 14, and Trent, 12.School activities and sports include student council, National Honor Society, softball and field hockey.Honors received include honorable mention for softball sophomore year; first team, all league for softball junior year; second team all-area Morning Call for softball; Carpenter Cup softball sophomore year; outstanding offensive softball player award for freshmen and sophomore year; outstanding defensive softball player junior year; and second team all league for field hockey senior year.Other interests include baby-sitting, swimming, outdoor activities, card games and spending time with family.She plans to attend Moravian College to major in nursing and continue her softball career there as well.Rebecca Blocker of Walnutport is the Slatington Women's Club Girl of the Month for October.She is the daughter of Robin and Robert Blocker. She has a sister, Courtney Blocker.In school, Rebecca is a varsity cheerleader, student council president, yearbook editor-in-chief, class secretary, choir president, a member of women's choir, and a member of the Northern Lehigh Little Theatre Company.Outside of school, Rebecca dances and is a member of Christ UCC in Walnutport.Rebecca was also chosen for Lehigh University's Honors Scholars program and is currently taking classes through Lehigh, LCCC and Northern Lehigh High School.Rebecca plans to go to college and major in civil engineering after she graduates from Northern Lehigh.Alexis Papay of Walnutport is the Slatington Women's Club Girl Of The Month for November.She is the daughter of William Papay and Angela (Felguieras) Papay. Her sister, Rachel, is a 2013 graduate of Northern Lehigh High School.Her school activities/sports include: Northern Lehigh varsity cheerleading captain (cheered for 10 years), Northern Lehigh Class of 2016 treasurer, Northern Lehigh student council vice president, emerging health care professionals dual enrollment at LCCC, 2014 junior prom committee chair, Northern Lehigh Chapter National Honor Society.Honors received include the 2014-2015 Colonial League All Star for cheering.Other interests include biking, family and volunteering.She plans to attend a five-year program to obtain a master's degree as a physician assistant.
