West Penn Township supervisors took the following action last week:

• Agreed to reopen both J.E. Morgan Memorial Park, as well as Zion Stone Park, on May 18, with the understanding that social distancing be implemented, with no more than groups of 25 at that time.

• Accepted the resignation of part-time police officer Paul Vicek.

• Granted Dollar General Store’s request to release their improvements bond contingent upon all the fees being satisfied.

• Announced that the board’s May 18 meeting has been canceled. Supervisors will next meet at 6:30 p.m. June 1.
