During a meeting Tuesday Tamaqua School Board directors approved several personnel changes involving teachers and coaches.

A number of teachers will retire at the end of the 2015 school year. They include: Cleo Baran, Sabine Fidler, Maureen Schoener from the elementary school; and Romayne Joseph, middle school.Other personnel moves included Christa Lauren Mantz, Coaldale, Megan Wagner, Lansford, and Jennifer Oakley, Schuylkill Haven, added to the substitute professional teacher list.The board approved an out-of-state trip for members of the Drama Club, who will attend a Broadway Show in New York City on April 11.Teacher Megan Frantz invited the board to a ceremony for the middle school's National Junior Honor Society that will be held at 7 p.m. March 30, when 63 students will be inducted into the chapter.
