An agriculture company in West Penn Township has been granted permission to start construction on a new building.

Supervisors on Monday approved a request from Embrovac LLC for COVID-19 relief to start construction on a new building where they will work on embryos for the flu vaccine.

Embrovac, an egg-laying business, is an agriculture company located on Dairy Road in Tamaqua.

The company primarily operates in the broiler, fryer and roaster chickens industry within the Agricultural Production - Livestock and Animal Specialties sector, according to an online description of the business.
