Quarters wrap-up
The Sunday school kids of Salem-St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kresgeville have worked since Septemberto raise 10,000 quarters to send to an African village. This money will provide the village with a well that will serve 500 families. Was the goal reached? That answer will be given in Sunday school during the 10:30 a.m. church service. At that time, the first of three Vacation Bible School Sundays for all ages, with the focus on Helpers, Healers & Heroes, will be held until 12:30 p.m. A simple lunch will be provided. This year VBS will focus on the people who help us in our community, our country and around the world. This hands-on, interactive program will help students understand all the things that people do for all, sometimes without them even knowing. The next two sessions will be on July 10 and Aug. 14 right after services.A big celebration on Sept. 11 in honor of the Helpers, Healers & Heroes here in the community will be the wrap-up.
