Nesquehoning Borough Council, last week, discussed or acted on the following items:
• Approved the plans for the Carbon County multiuse emergency training facility.
• Approved a resolution for Redner’s Warehouse Market’s liquor license transfer.
• Announced that there is an open seat on both borough joint board of appeals and planning commission. Anyone interested in serving on these boards should send a letter of interest to the borough hall.
• Approved the hiring of part-time police officer Victor Alpizar.
• Ratified the adoption of an emergency operations plan for the borough and the hiring of Keith Gogal as a part-time summer helper.
• Approved the updates to the pension plan and the borough office contracts.
