State police at Fern Ridge are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday night in Monroe County.

Troopers said a 68-year-old Tannersville woman was leaving Bart's Bar & Grille, 2100 Route 715, in Jackson Township, at 10:09 p.m. when she was confronted by a black male brandishing a black handgun.The suspect forced the victim back inside and forcibly removed a handbag containing an Apple laptop and a Samsung cellphone and fled.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
