The fire that tore through a landmark in Monroe County earlier this month has been ruled accidental.

Investigators said the blaze that destroyed the Blakeslee Inn along Route 940 was due to an electrical failure.The fire was caused by an electrical outlet in one of the offices of the landmark inn, according to Christopher Wagner, police chief of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.Wagner said there was a failure with an electrical receptacle inside an interior wall that caused the fire.
