A Monroe County man was sentenced on Monday in the county court on child pornography charges.

Chad Wieder, 33, of Brodheadsville, was arrested by county detectives in August after he was discovered to have been using his neighbor's unsecured wireless Internet connection to download and share child pornography. Investigators found several hundred images of child pornography on Wieder's tablet computer showing children as young as 7 years old.Wieder pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography late last year and was sentenced Monday to a total of 4 to 8 years in state correctional institution.
