Hindus are highly concerned after reports of a cow's severed complete head with a bullet to it was left at a Hindu cow sanctuary in Jackson Township in Monroe County between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada, said that it was shocking for the hardworking, harmonious and peaceful U.S. Hindu community numbering about 3 millionto receive such signals of hatred and intimidation.Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, urged swift action and called on Gov. Tom Wolf and Monroe County Commissioner John R. Moyer to contact the area Hindu community to reassure them.Meanwhile, Rajan Zed commended the Cow Sanctuary for keeping the ancient Hindu traditions alive in Pennsylvania by providing protective shelter to cows.Zed points out that the cow is worshipped by Hindus the world over.Hinduism, the oldest and third-largest religion, has about 1 billion adherents and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal.
