A Lehighton man pleaded guilty on Thursday in Carbon County court to one count each of terroristic threats and harassment.
Ian Graham, 22, admitted threatening his ex-girlfriend and her family on April 3, 2012.Lehighton police responded to a report of an incident in the lower park area.The victim told officers that Graham had threatened her and her family.She said he had been following her around and confronting her after she broke off their relationship.Graham told the court he was dealing with mental health issues and is currently on medication.Graham was previously placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked for violating conditions.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II placed him on two years probation on the threats count and one year probation on the harassment charge, with the terms running concurrent.He was also ordered to get both mental health and drug and alcohol evaluations, have no contact with the victim or her family, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation, and continue his counseling program.
