A traffic signal that connects the Route 248 and 209 intersection on the Franklin Township boundary line was operating on flash mode this morning.

Franklin Township patrolman Thomas Beltz said the light has been on flash since around 5:30 a.m.As of 10:30 a.m., it was unknown how long it would take for the light to be restored to its normal working condition."The traffic company that does the light, they haven't provided us with an estimated time of arrival," Beltz said.He didn't know what caused the mishap."It's slowed traffic through the intersection, but as of what I've seen, the motorists are generally patient, and they're alternating in some instances," he said.
