Man wanted in drug bust found in New York

A man wanted in connection with a Tobyhanna-area drug dealing operation has been arrested in New York state, according to police.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police announced Wednesday that 28-year-old Andrew Turner was arraigned on a long list of felony charges stemming from a Jan. 15 drug raid on a home in Coolbaugh Township.Turner is currently being held at Monroe County Correctional Facility, unable to post $200,000 bail. He is also awaiting counterfeiting charges brought by the Secret Service.According to police, Turner resided in a home in the Echo Lake development that was the site of a drug bust Jan. 15.During that search, police found large amounts of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, heroin and marijuana. They also found $1,760 in counterfeit bills, $14,500, and $5,100 in Jamaican currency.Turner has been charged with multiple counts of illegally possessing a firearm, possession of narcotics with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, forgery, and endangering the welfare of a child, all felonies.Six other people, ranging in age from 16 to 54, have been charged in connection with the same drug bust.An arraignment for Turner has been set for May 25 at 11:30 a.m. at Magisterial District judge Anthony D. Fluegel's office.
