A young girl was seriously injured in a sledding crash in Lansford Borough Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred near the 200 block of Abbott Street, authorities said.

Dispatchers told police that a young girl suffered facial injuries when she struck a fire hydrant while sledding. No further details were available.
