Lehigh Township Police have arrested a suspect in convenience store robbery in the township on Thursday.

Walnutport Police found Malachi John Owens, 19, of Danielsville, late Friday night in the parking lot of the Taco Bell at Route 145 and W. Mountain View Drive.

Officers spotted a two-tone red/silver Chevrolet Silverado Z-71 that matched the description of a vehicle involved in a robbery on Thursday at the Turkey Hill convenience store, 4205 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville section of Lehigh Township.

Officers from Walnutport and Lehigh Township approached the vehicle and saw the driver to match the description of the suspect from the robbery and he was wearing clothing that matched the description from the robbery.

Owens admitted to police that he committed the robbery.

Owens was transported to the Northampton County Prison Booking Center to await arraignment.
