The Penn Forest Township Board of Supervisors met Monday evening and held their annual reorganization meeting followed by the January board of supervisors meeting.

The results of the reorganization are Warren Reiner will serve as chairman and roadmaster and Philip Shedaker will serve as vice chairman. Susan Gibiser was appointed secretary and assistant treasurer at a rate of $18.50 per hour. Tammy McMahon will serve as township treasurer. The supervisors voted to end McMahon's probationary period during their regular meeting.Supervisor Scott Lignore will serve as assistant roadmaster.Attorney Thomas Nanovic will return as board solicitor.Supervisor Christine Fazio will be the voting supervisor to PSATs.Barry Isett and Associates were rehired as township engineers, building code official, building inspector, commercial building inspector, third party building inspector, zoning officer, assistant zoning officer, code enforcement officer, sewage and water enforcement officer.BIA will also serve as the planning commission engineer. Katrina White will serve as planning commission secretary.Carl Fazio was appointed to the vacancy board. William Gibson will serve as the new emergency management coordinator for the township.The assistant emergency management coordinator will be decided at a later date.The Planning Commission members for 2016 will be William English, William Miller and Chris Rau.The Zoning Hearing Board will include Audrey Wargo, Patrick Walsh and Paul Fogel. Shawn Kresge will serve as an alternate.Township elected auditors are Matthew Schutter, Robert Serafini and Robert Boyle.The 2016 Park Recreation Board members are Richard Strack, Sherry Meckes, Robin McGeehan and Jennifer Bevilacqua. Richard Tweed serves as an alternate.The Jim Thorpe School District position is unfilled at this time.Board of supervisors meeting will continue to be held at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, and on the first Tuesday of the month when Monday is a holiday.During the regular monthly supervisors meeting the board approved the appointment CPA firm Kirk Summa to perform the 2015 audit.The board also approve an annual support and maintenance agreement for its CSG Permit Manager Software.
