Calls to the Luzerne County Coroner's office were not returned as of press time.According to Madl, the camps were built in the 1930s under the Civil Conservation Corps and were to be used exclusively by nonprofit organizations. The camps are still used in this manner. The pool is located at the crossroads between the two camps and is for the use of the campers."The park does not provide lifeguards," said Madl. "However the group must provide valid lifeguard certification to the Park office before they are given the keys to the pool."Madl was present when the young man was being worked on by the emergency personal."All we could do at that point was say a prayer and hope for a good outcome," Madl said.Elsewhere, a search was being conducted this morning for the body of a swimmer who went missing in the Delaware River about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area officials told the Express-Times.This is the second incident in recent days in the Delaware.
