A Carbon County man with a history of sex offenses has been charged with the indecent assault of a woman.

Charles Cseh, 57, of 401 Lehigh Ave. third floor, left apartment, Palmerton, faces charges of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 17 before District Judge William Kissner of Palmerton.Cseh remains free in lieu of $10,000 unsecured bail.According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Kevin Buck of the Palmerton Police Department:At 11:45 a.m. Jan. 14, the woman arrived at the borough police department to report she had previously been assaulted by a man whom she identified as Cseh.The woman said that in the early part of October 2015, she had been at Cseh's residence helping him with the dishes when he touched her inappropriately.The woman said she screamed for Cseh to stop, which he eventually did, and that he apologized to her and promised to behave.The woman said she returned again toward the end of the month and was seated on the floor watching television when something on the television made her laugh very hard and she fell backward onto her back. Cseh again touched her inappropriately.The woman said that she was yelling for Cseh to stop, and eventually was able to kick him to get him to stop. She quickly jumped to her feet and told Cseh she was going to the police, at which time he told her that she wouldn't do that, and gave her a dirty look which scared her, so she quickly left the apartment and went home instead of coming to the police department.On Jan. 15, Buck contacted Cseh and requested he come to the police department and speak with him.At 11:12 a.m. Buck provided Cseh with his Miranda warnings, which he refused to sign and simply said, "I didn't do anything," and then left the police department.This wasn't Cseh's first brush with the law. In 1982 and 1988 he was convicted of sex offenses against children and served time in prison.Last month, Cseh was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.Police were dispatched, at which time Cseh was complaining of injuries to his hip and leg.
