Articles of incorporation were filed by the Lehighton Area Pistol and Revolver Club today in the office of Carbon County Prothonotary Joseph Modrick.

Represented by attorney John Deutsch of Lehighton, the incorporators of the new association are Earl Parry of Bankway, Delroy V. Ruch of North First Street, Frederick R. Scott of South Seventh Street, and Bruce W. Bisbing of South Ninth Street, all of Lehighton; William C. Wilson, Union Hill; and Norman P. Mertz, Jamestown.

The object of the organization is the encouragement of organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the U.S. and residents of Lehighton and to formulate the development of the characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance.
