Blood drive results

Miller-Keystone's community blood drive at the First United Church of Christ on Monday drew 66 potential donors, and 64 units of blood were collected.This drive was sponsored by "Honey" and the late Dr. Howard Cyr, and Mary and Thomas Naab.The following donors reached gallon levels: Thomas Davies, 26 gallons; Thomas Lager, 11 gallons; Martin DeSousa, 8 gallons; Donald Berger and Betty Furler, 7 gallons; Richard Furler and Ricky Kistler, 5 gallons; Joseph Plechavy, 2 gallons; Bryan Eroh and David Hughes, 1 gallon. There were three first-time donors.Many volunteers are involved in a blood drive. They included Pam Andrews, George Ashman, Mary Beth Beers, Romaine Biege, Harry Brown, Marian Carty, Jane Cervenak, Gail and Ron Chabak, "Honey" Cyr, Arlene Dombrosky, Thomasine Falcone, Linda Finley, Shirley Greene, Anita Harry, "Bif" Hayes, Roseann Heydt, Anastasia Hinkle, Marian Hoffner, Bernice Kleintop, Nancy Kresge, Paula Lendvay, Helen Nonnemaker, Darlene and Dick Nothstein, Susan Olivia, Carol Papay, Evelyn Plechavy, Marge Porambo, Gwen Rodrigues, Susan Steigerwalt, Dorothy Strohl, Mary Taschler, and Brenda Wentz.The next Miller community blood drive will be on Sept. 8.
