Keer has strong season at Shepherd

Marian High School graduate Daniel Keer was enjoying an outstanding baseball season for Division 2 Shepherd University before the season was cut short last week because of the coronavirus threat,

Keer, a junior outfielder/infielder for the Rams, was among the team’s leaders in almost every offensive category. He started 14 games this season as Shepherd compiled an 11-7 record.

Keer led the Rams in batting average (.373) and stolen bases (six). He was third on the team in RBIs (21), slugging percentage (.529), on-base percentage (.467), on-base slugging percentage (.996), and hits (19). He also had two home runs, two doubles, and 11 runs scored.
