Blue Mountain Health System will hold its 23rd Annual Children's Health Fair on Friday, May 18, at the Lehighton Recreation Center, Eighth and Iron streets, Lehighton.

Three 1.5-hour sessions will be available to students: 9-10:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m.-12:20 p.m., and 12:30-2 p.m.This year's theme is "Holidays!"The fair is geared toward students in grades kindergarten through second; however, individuals with younger children are welcome to attend.Fourteen interactive activities address fitness, nutrition, smoking, hand washing, bullying, sun safety, animal safety, coping with cancer, and a variety of other health- and safety-related topics.Participating agencies include Therapy Dogs International; BMHS Physical Therapy; BMHS Lab; BMHS Black Lung; BMHS Nutritional Services; Penn State Master Gardeners; Carbon County Safe Kids; Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol; Cancer Support Community of the Lehigh Valley; state Rep.
