Sew What Quilt Guild to meet, events announced

The Sew What Quilt Guild will host its monthly meeting on Friday at 10 a.m. Local quilters and fabric arts enthusiasts are invited to attend.

The gathering takes place in the upstairs Gallery at the Palmerton Area Library.

If you have finished your gnome ornament, please bring it to the meeting or drop it off at the Quilted Crow. All profits will benefit Family Promise.

Upcoming activities have also been announced for the group:

Potato Chip Quilt Project

Please bring fabric remnants to the next meeting. They can be any color or pattern, but must be at least 2.5 x 4.5 inches. Guild members will cut them to size and return them early next year for the project.

Favorite/Least Favorite Tool Activity

Bring a favorite or least favorite sewing/quilting item to share with the group and explain why you love or hate it. Participation is optional, but it promises to be a fun learning experience for all.

Quilts of Valor Sew Day

Scheduled by Pat Piasecki for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Palmerton Area Library.

Christmas Tea Meeting

The group’s Dec. 4 meeting will take place at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church (corner of Fifth and Lafayette Avenue in Palmerton). The cost is $15, with payment due at the November meeting.

Please bring a wrapped ornament or small gift for the exchange.

Pet Collage Class

Terri Sheckler will teach a pet collage class at a winter meeting.

Please find an 8 x 10 picture of a pet or animal to use for the project.

Donations needed

If you have travel-sized toiletries, please bring them to the meeting or drop them off at the library.

Show ‘N Tell

Bring your latest projects to share at the end of the meeting.
