Lansford Borough Council did not act on a police chief contract or other matters Thursday night.
Council lacked a quorum for the special meeting and also did not meet in executive session immediately prior.
Present were Council President Joseph Genits and Councilmen Joseph Butrie and John Zym. Mayor Denise Leibensperger also attended.
Absent were council members Bruce Markovich, Gwyneth Collevechio and Michele Bartek. Genits said that Bartek had a family emergency.
Genits announced that there was no executive session for review of a solicitor or employee contracts, despite them being listed on the agenda.
He did announce the executive session on Tuesday afternoon, which Zym unintentionally livestreamed a large portion of the two-hour session, was for employment matters, litigation and public safety.
There was no discussion or public comment. Genits, who asked for roll call at about 6:05 p.m., wanted to wait another five or 10 minutes to see if any other council members would show up.
However, Butrie stood up and said that he was leaving; and Zym said he was leaving as well.
