The board of directors of the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale, held its public session in the hospital’s community room and elected officers for the ensuing year.

Dr. Gary Carbone was elected chairman; Dr. Kalmen Feinberg, first vice chairman; John Tracy, second vice chairman; and Robert Ames, secretary.

The board welcomed new members Craig Zurn of Jim Thorpe, Eleanor Sidoriak of Tamaqua and Atty. Joseph Matika of Lehighton. They succeed Ronald Blisard and Larry Gazdick, both of Nesquehoning, and Atty. Joseph Velitsky of Summit Hill.

Dr. Dilliswar Sahoo was named to a two-year term filling a previous vacancy.
