State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following incidents:

• Rosa Simmons, 49, and Jasmine Sadusky, 23, both of Brockton, were cited for cruelty to animals after police were called to the Hillside SPCA, 51 SPCA Road, North Manheim Township, at 10:24 p.m. Sept. 28.

Police said surveillance footage that was obtained revealed they abandoned two dogs at the shelter.

• A 34-year-old Barnesville man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after an incident at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 4 on Fairlane Village Mall Road, Norwegian Township.

Police said that the man, who was not identified by police, was found passed out in the driver’s seat of a 2019 Jeep Compass with an open container of alcohol.

They said during the investigation that he showed signs of impairment from a drug.
