State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police were called to a theft at 9:32 a.m. Oct. 3 on Orchard Road, Ryan Township.
A 34-year-old woman from Barnesville said the theft involved a scam through text messaging and phone calls during which access to her bank accounts was obtained.
• Police are investigating the theft of about 200 feet of copper wire valued at $1,100.
It occurred on Claremont Avenue, Rush Township. Police were summoned there by a representative of the victim, Verizon, at 6:01 p.m. Oct. 1.
• Police responded to a found property report at 9:14 a.m. Sept. 28 at the intersection of Lofty and Mill Hill roads, Kline Township.
Reported found were an orange PNC bank card, a Pennsylvania driver’s license belonging to a Rafael Esteves Rojas and a Dominican Republic identification card belonging to a Martin Rivas.
The items were found on the side of the road, police said.

• Keith Moore, 47, of Shamokin, was charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a valid license after police made a traffic stop at 11:40 a.m. Sept. 18 on Interstate 81 in Delano Township.
Police said he was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 when he was stopped for speeding, after which police learned there was an active warranty out for his arrest in Northumberland County for failure to appear for a court case.
They learned he was concealing a 40-caliber pistol inside the driver’s side door of his vehicle and said his concealed weapon permit had expired in 2025.
Moore was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, to await transport back to Northumberland County because of the warrant, while police charged him with the misdemeanor gun license offense.
• A 44-year-old Nesquehoning man is the victim of a theft police responded to at 7:47 a.m. Sept. 3.
Police said the theft occurred at a building on Pleasant Valley Road, East Brunswick Township, but did not provide details.
• Police were called to a harassment by communications incident at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 31 on Railroad Street, Delano Township.
They said the victim is a 19-year-old woman from Delano.
• Police were summoned to an assault report at 3:55 p.m. Aug. 19 on Altamont Boulevard, Ryan Township.
They said the victim is a 63-year-old woman from Tremont and that the case is under investigation.
