A Stroudsburg man is facing attempted homicide charges after state police at the Stroudsburg barracks were called Sunday to a hospital for a report of a person having been shot.

Police said they were called at 4:30 a.m., and determined that Anthony Graham, 42, shot a man as he was fleeing the scene along Milford Road in Middle Smithfield Township.

Graham was charged before Magisterial District Judge Jamie Levy of Marshalls Creek before being lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.

Police said the victim was treated at the medical facility for non-life threatening injuries.

The Troop N criminal investigation unit is working in conjunction with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.
