The Ross Township Historical Society is hosting an appraisal event from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the township building at 259 Anchorage Road in Saylorsburg.

Dr. John Pfeiffer Jr. is an experienced appraiser and auctioneer with a professional career spanning more than three decades. His background includes appraisals at the Moravian College Antiques Show and teaching Antique Appraisals at Lehigh Carbon Community College. He is affiliated with the National and Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley Auctioneers Associations.

Pfeiffer will provide expert appraisals on various items including antiques of all types, sports memorabilia, art and other items. There is a cost for three items or just one.
