Franklin Township has accepted the resignation of its roadmaster.

On a 2-0 vote, the township’s board of supervisors on Tuesday approved the resignation of employee No. 140, effective Sept. 11.

Resident Terry Shaner questioned the board if the employee being referenced to was the roadmaster, to which board Chairman Nick Storm said it was.

Resident Rod Green asked why there has been so much change in the township.

“Why are we going through so many employees? It’s nothing but a turnover.”

Supervisor Leroy Kemmerer Jr. was absent.

Last month, supervisors noted progress with their road service program.

Leroy Kemmerer Jr., who at the board’s July meeting was critical of the road crew, was absent from last month’s meeting.

In July, resident Jill Renfrew asked supervisors how many hours the road crew was putting in and what the projects were that they were working on.

In January, the board hired Troy Williams as roadmaster, at the rate of $31 per hour, effective Jan. 12.
