State police Troop M investigates homicide in Northampton Co.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Major Case Team is currently conducting a homicide investigation in West Easton Borough, Northampton County.

Police said that on Saturday, at approximately 8:53 a.m., troopers from the Belfast barracks were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Spring Street in West Easton Borough for the report of a shooting.

Upon investigation, it was determined a 52-year-old man from West Easton Borough was shot and killed inside the residence after a confrontation with two other people inside the house.

Police said there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is currently ongoing by the Troop M Major Case Team.

Assisting with the investigation are personnel from Troop M Forensic Services Unit, Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Specialist Unit, Easton City Police Department, Wilson Borough Police Department, Suburban Ambulance, West Easton Borough Fire Department, Northampton County Coroner’s Office and the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office.
