Marian Catholic High School in Hometown will hold its annual Trunk or Treat celebration from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 25 at the school, 166 Marian Ave., Tamaqua.
The free community event will feature creatively decorated vehicles, candy, costumes and family-friendly Halloween fun. All area families are welcome and reservations are not required.
Marian is also inviting local businesses, community organizations, families and friends of the school to help fill the parking lot by hosting decorated trunks and distributing candy.
Participants may decorate individually, partner with friends or use multiple vehicles to create a larger display.
Students, families, faculty, staff and administrators from Marian’s partner schools — St. Jerome Regional School, St. John Neumann Regional School and Holy Family Academy — have also been invited to host trunks and take part in the celebration.
Marian athletic teams will add some friendly competition to the event through a schoolwide Team Challenge. Each team is required to provide at least one decorated trunk with candy, and the team with the highest percentage of participation will earn a dress-down day.
Community members, businesses and organizations interested in hosting a trunk must complete the event registration form by Oct. 18.
